Thien-Bao Thuc Phi was born in Saigon and raised in Phillips in South Minneapolis. He has been writing poetry, in his current aesthetic, for the past 10 years, performing and teaching at various schools, organizations and venues. Bao was Minnesota's Grand Slam Poetry Champ for two years. He has also won twice at the Nuyorican Poetry Café in NY, NY. Truthmaze (see track 19).
