The Twin Cities first Spoken Word compilation. Speakeasy Records' first full production release, Words Will Heal the Wound: A Celebration of Community Through Poetry, was developed from the noted spoken word radio series. Words Will Heal features the works of J. Otis Powell!, Arkology, Truthmaze, Bao Phi, ANIKA, Desdamona, Sister Mimi, Sha Cage, Slug (of Atmosphere), Wookiefoot, and others. Includes original version of Slug's 'Hell's Playground'. A must have for lovers of spoken word and those interested in the Minnesota scene.

Shá has been a Twin Cities based performance artist and professional actress since ’97. She is a co-founder of female performance collective, MAMA MOSAIC whose mission is to create and produce innovative theatrical works by and about women of color. She is a company member of Pillsbury House Theater and ensemble member of Pangea World Theater. Shá is the recipient of a 2000 MRAC Grant and a 2001 Jerome Foundation’s Collaborative Arts Grant. In addition, she is a poet, painter, and film student and has appeared in commercials, printwork, industrials and independent LA films.

aimee k. bryant is an aspiring singer/songwriter from detroit, michigan, presently making her living as an actor in the twin cities.
