Desdamona is a producer, songwriter, and poet. She arrived in the Twin Cities in 1995 and has been presented at numerous venues since. She was a director and performer of SPINE: Reading the Bones, a writer's collective, produced by The Loft, The Center for Performing Arts, Vox Medusa productions, Intermedia Arts. Desdamona has been performing with Vox Medusa productions for over a year in the artistic circus Ricochet Kitchen, the music and poetry presentation Universal Tongue, and Vox Medusa's productions of Siren's and most recently their production of Cleopatra. Currently Desdamona is recording with Handel Tucker and Rich Crawford, of Sly & Robbie fame. She is a member of the spoken word/music/performance art hybrid, The Poet Tree Collective; she is also producing/writing/performing a solo spoken word CD, and songwriting and collaborating with Philadelphia based singer Deirdre.
